Danube strategy Point opening ceremony

baden WThe State of Baden-Württemberg on 15th July 2015 has organized in their Brussels representation office the opening event for the Danube strategy Point.
The Danube countries were presented with gastronomic products from the Danube region. Croatian regions also had the promo stand. The welcome speakers was Peter Friedrich, Minister for the Bundesrat, Europe and International Affairs, Baden-Württemberg, and Walter Deffaa from Director-General for Regional and Urban Policy, European Commission.
The State of Baden-Württemberg has set up the Danube Strategy Point (DSP) in its Representaton to the EU in Brussels in May 2015 with the support of the European .
The DSP is a coordination body of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR). With establishing the DSP, the Directorate-General for Regional Policy of the European Commission and the National Coordinators of the EUSDR are taking a new approach in the governance of this macro-regional strategy of the EU.

 

The European Fund for Strategic Investment: what's in it for regions and cities?

barometarThe conference „The European Fund for strategic Investment: what's in it for regions and cities ?" was an event organized by Committee of the regions, held in Jacques Delors building in Brussels on July 7th 2015.
The main goal of this lunchtime briefing was to introduce new investment plan for Europe. In next two years their plan is to mobilize 315 billion euros for additional investments. Local and regional authorities will play a big part in managing investment projects. During this briefing EFSI potential for local and regional stakeholders was presented.

 

Launch Event of the Guide to Cost-Benefit Analysis of Investment Projects

cretu1The European Commission, DG for Regional and Urban Policy and JASPERS, Joint Assistance to Support Projects in European Regions, organized the Launch Event of the Guide to Cost-Benefit Analysis of Investment Projects at the Albert Borschette Congress Centre in Brussels on 2 July 2015.

The main goal was to present to key stakeholders the updated Guide to Cost-Benefit Analysis of Investment Projects to be financed by the European Regional Development Fund and the Cohesion Fund in the 2014-2020 programming period. It was also outline the major legislative, procedural and methodological changes related to major projects. The event was an opportunity for sharing information and for discussing approaches with key experts involved in updating the Guide.

 

Celebration of National Day and accession of Croatia to the EU in Brussels

proslava rh u EUNational Day celebration and accession of Croatia in EU was held on June 29th 2015 in the academy of Sciences in Brussels.
Permanent representative of Croatia to the EU, Mato Škrabalo, opened the exhibition of photographs "Croatia from above" of author Davor Rostuhar in the building of Info Point Europa in Brussels. The exibition was initiated by the Ministr of foreign and european affairs and it was organized by permanent representation of Croatia in the European and Croatia house in cooperation with the main secretariat of the council and European Commission.
Soccer tournament was held too and it was organized by football club Croatia Bruxelles.

 

The meeting of CORAL network

bavarskaPartner meeting of Coral network was held in the building of representation of Baden-Württemberg province in Brussels on 25ht of June 2015.
The network of European regions CORAL is informal region community, with the goal to improve regional politics for active and healthy aging. That is the network of studying and creating cooperation in the process of innovations. The main goal of CORAL network is trust between the partners who invest energy and creativity in this valuable cooperation and work on the implementation of innovative solutions for active and healthy aging. Dubrovnik -Neretva county and regional development agency DUNEA are the first two Croatian partners who joined this network.

In accordance with the European Innovation partnership for innovations in active and healthy aging (EIP AHA), CORAL network contributes to improvement of sustainability and efficiency of social and health system through EU projects and works on strengthening and improvement of market competition for innovative products and services and even creating new possibilities for companies.
